2004: Speech Interface Design’s growth continues exceeding 40% annually. Speech Interface Design is appointed Master Value Added Reseller for Vocollect, Inc.
2003: Speech Interface Design, Inc. continues to see increased growth exceeding 30% annually.
2000: Speech Interface Design expands its application and customer base with new voice-directed order picking systems, as well as a new version of our versatile VoiceSockets database interface program. Ahmed Reza assumes the position of Vice President, COO and Partner.
1999: Mr. Eric Nahm joined Speech Interface Design as President, CEO and partner. Eric was previously VP of Sales and an executive officer of Voxware/Verbex. His prior experience includes executive management positions with AT&T and IBM for over 20 years. Eric is an honors graduate of Drew University and has participated in the executive development program at Yale School of Organization and Management.
1998: After addressing the medical market developing a specific voice-based product, Speech Interface Design turned its focus to industrial and commercial applications. Ahmed Reza led the sales effort enabling Speech Interface Design to grow to serve new markets and customers.
1995: Mr. S. Ahmed Reza, an electrical engineer, joined Jim Logan as a partner at Speech Interface Design, continuing his 15-year career in the automatic identification industry (voice, bar code, RFID, and portable terminals). Also, Speech Interface Design moved to its current location on historic River Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.
1993: Speech Interface Design was founded by James R. Logan, an electrical engineer, after a successful career at Westinghouse and Vocollect, Inc. (a current technology partner).
