The Application Developer/Business Application Analyst is accountable for the design, development, testing, integration and implementation of middleware and business applications associated with Voice Directed Work Systems. The Developer creates new and maintains existing Visual Basic applications and MS SQL databases, as well as, providing customer support for installed applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide MS SQL database administration and support.

Develop and implement logical and physical databases.

Manage software versioning with Visual Source Safe.

Independently develop robust software using structured programming style and software engineering principles to create error free, maintainable code.

Design, Program and test database utilities, especially Stored Procedures, to meet project objectives.

Design, Program and test components of Visual Basic business application components to meet project objectives.

Test database function and performance, defines and solves problems and corrects errors.

Test business application function and performance, defines and solves problems and corrects errors.

Collaborates with application development staff, project engineers and customer IT personnel on the design and development of new database and business application features.

Defines and writes system documentation for database and business application components of system integration projects.

Provide technical support to existing customers.

Occasional travel to customer site is required.

Requirements:
BS(MS preferred) in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, with 2 years professional experience and at least 2 years programming experience. Microsoft software experience including server or network administration experience. MS SQL Database administration experience. Stored Procedure programming experience. Visual Basic programming experience. Knowledge of and experience with web enabled technology (.NET) programming. Knowledge of and experience with Database interconnection, including ODBC and Visual Basic ADO. Client/server or Web Services programming experience highly recommended.
